“Words can’t wipe away your tears, Hugs won’t ease your pain.
But hold on to your memories.”
Adell Evangelina Brown, affectionately known as Melody, was born on October 23, 1957 to Alma White and Kenneth Brown in Linstead, St. Catherine, Jamaica. She’s the fifth child of her mom’s ten children. She attended Jericho Primary School and McGrath Secondary School.
Adell worked hard her entire life to support herself, younger cousins and her children. While living in Jamaica, she successfully opened her own grocery store. To ensure the success of her shop, she included a sale of hot soups. Adell loved cooking and baking, especially baking Christmas cakes…the best tasting cake you’ll ever have.
Adell was a very kind-hearted person and a great humanitarian. She provided care for many and offered herself to anyone in need, but mainly she was devoted to providing care for her five children.
About 10 years ago, Adell was diagnosed with cancer and was in remission until recently when the cancer returned. Adell fought to the very end, but God had a better plan for her… to rest in peace and fight no more.
On September 30, 2020 at 11:48pm she took her last breath at the Good Shepherd Hospice.
Adell was predeceased by 2 brothers, Val and Donald. Now, she leaves behind her five children Charline (husband Jerry), Rasheade, Rocall, Randine, and Myron.
