Georgina Gomez

Georgina Librada Gomez, 90, of Farmingdale, NY passed away on Saturday January 31, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn.

Visitation will be held at the Elmont Funeral Home on 2.6.26 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church in Valley Stream at 10am on February 7th, 2026.

Georgina Gomez was born in Manati, Cuba to Antonio and Maria Luisa on 9.10.35. She worked as a seamstress and embroiderer until 1969 when she had her 1st child then she became a homemaker. 

Her favorite charities were St. Jude's, US Veterans, and the Cancer Society. 

She loved to have people over and cook, until she became wheelchair bound 25 years ago. She fought through her many illnesses and she was resilient. 

She had a big heart, when anyone met her they instantly had a connection with her. She would do anything to make her grandchildren laugh. She is preceded in the death of her spouse Angel Gomez with whom she was married for 50 years. She is survived by her Daughter and Son Rosa and Angel Her Grandchildren- Justin, Rachel, Angelina, Anna, and Angel.

Our Family would especially like to thank Magarite , that took care of our mom for 10 years and her additional support system Gladys, Dilsia, Reina, Melissa, Maria, Rosa, and Baudilla those were her earth Angels that treated her as if she was their own mom.
