Joyann Hudson Poole

Joyann Marie Hudson Poole completed her journey in this life on February 8th 2022.She was born on April 30th 1958 to Albert[1928-1973] And Una Hudson [nee Anglin ] [1030-2014] in Kingston ,Jamaica. The family moved to the United States , first Settling in , In Newark N.J. before moving Queens ,N.Y. in 1970. Joyann attended Springfield Gardens High School, Graduating with Honors in 1976 . She then attended Syracuse University again graduating with honors in 1980.

Joyann began her professional Career as a Quality Control Specialist at Domino sugar facility in Brooklyn ,N.Y. .She later moved to on to become a quality control manger for several other companies in New York City .In 1998 she transitioned to retail with Payless Shoe Source , first becoming a store manger and later  working her way up to District Manger . She retired in 2009.

Joyann met her husband Leo Jay Poole in 1986, and the couple married in August 17, 1988 . They had one child Jayson Albert Poole the couple moved to Albany , N.Y. in 1989, and one year later to Chesapeake, Virginia . Joyann was a member of Western Brach Community Church in Chesapeake for many years . during that time , she hosted many community group prayer meetings in her home.

Joyann is survived by her husband , Jay Poole ;her son Jayson Poole ;and her brothers Harvey Hudson , Howard Hudson And Hopeton Hudson ;her sister in law Dierdre Hudson , Rose Mae Stokes , and Patricia Porcher; her nephew Jonathan Hudson ,Ryan Hudson ,and Xavier Hudson ;an uncle Ripton Hudson . and numerous other relatives and friends .

Joyann will be laid to rest at Rockville Cemetery In New York on Feb. 26th 2022 at 11am .She requested a small private family graveside service .in lieu of cards or flowers Joyann and the family requested that donations be made in her name to:
