Linda Moise Mellon

Linda Mellon (née Moïse), passed away on September 17, 2026, after a 4-year battle with cancer.

We mourn the loss of her presence, affection, and friendship.

Linda was a beautiful, accomplished woman who is remembered for her grace, kindness, generosity, strength and resilience. She held a deep faith in God, and a devotion to the Virgin Mary. She made friends wherever she went and lifted those around her.

She enjoyed traveling around the world and had a lifelong appreciation for the arts, especially music, theater, museums, history, and cultural experiences that inspired her curiosity and joy. She remained connected to her beloved Haiti where she grew up and worked to promote, support and assist the country and its people. She was a meticulous planner who took pride in making every event a flawless and memorable celebration for all.

She is survived by her mother, Geralda Nicole Moise; her sister, Margareth Moïse-Thomas and her husband, Nathan Thomas Sr., her niece Nina Thomas and nephew Nathan Thomas Jr. and his wife Aylin, and their son, her grandnephew, Daniel Thomas; her aunts and uncles, Floraine and Antoine Clermont, Daniella Clermont, Antonio Moise; her beloved cousins, Flovencia Clermont, Estepherly Clermont and Ruben Clermont and their families; Herby Diaquoi, Vladimir Diaquoi, Darwin Michel, Steve Michel and Nicholson Kelly, and their families; the Mellon family and many other extended family members and dearest friends.

Linda’s life remains precious in the hearts of those who loved her, and her memory will continue to be cherished.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation (closed casket) on October 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Elmont Funeral Home, 1529 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont, NY 11003.

A Mass will follow the same day from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, 631 Elmont Road, Elmont, NY 11003.
