Madeline B Corrigan

September 5, 1934 — January 25, 2022

Madeline B Corrigan, 87, was a resident of Elmont, NY and a parishioner of St Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church for sixty years. Madeline unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022. She was born in Manhattan and is the daughter of Edwin C. Gaulrapp and Maria (Grande) Gaulrapp. She is survived by her brother, Frank Gaulrapp (Helen), and sisters Theresa Chevalier and Gloria Gomez.
On November 19, 1955 at St Emeric’s Roman Catholic Church she married her husband of 55 years, John Corrigan. They have four children, John (Janet), Bernadette (Philip), Bridget (Richard), Madeline (Joseph).  She has thirteen grandchildren, Robert Brassel, Christopher, Candace and Catherine Corrigan, Joseph (Alison), John (Christine), Anthony ( Ami), Dominic (Nicole) and Maria Gangemella, Bryan (Elizabeth), Thomas(Jessica), Patrick (Lisa) and Eric (Kelsey) Schaefer. She has nineteen great-grandchildren with three more babies on the way!
Madeline was a convert to the Roman Catholic Church at the age of eighteen before marrying the love of her life, John. She embraced the Catholic Church and all its beliefs wholeheartedly.  If you had problems, you knew you could count on her prayers. She was a prayer warrior for everyone she knew, living and deceased. She also was a member of St Vincent’s Altar Rosary Society and
Craft Club and later joined the Elmont Senior Club.
Madeline loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She also made friends everywhere she went. She had many special friends that she loved dearly and whom she would never forget.
She loved going to restaurants, parties and taking weekend getaways. She was the life of the party and the parties will never be the same without her.
Madeline is preceded in death by her husband John, son in law, Richard and parents Maria and Edwin Gaulrapp
